Killer Pool App Reviews

Another exciting pool game

But I wonder what is the difference between original and realistic style. Cannot really the difference. I would like to have an option for less fancy control buttons too. Keep up the good work.

It sucks

Waste of money

cool

very good, realistic, easy to learn & reasonably priced... thanks, its a relaxing game to play...

awesome

First of all - props for making a "lite" version, all app makers should HAVE to do this!!! How else would we know if we will like it or not? Anyways onto the review: Of all the pool lite versions, this is the best because it is very intuitive, accurate and realistic, with precise controls without overcomplicating it like some of the other apps. Multiple players with championship tournaments, multiple game versions ie.(8 ball, 9 ball, black ball...) with rules, no stupid story lines with charcters??? Why do they even bother with that crap? We just want to play pool!! The best feature is the "fine tune" slider - in the other apps I found it hard to fine tune shots. Also has a "spin" feature.... Just one thing I would like to see updated is when in the "Top View" have the ability to zoom down close to the table so we can see and line up the shots better.. Thanks for this app - i love pool :-)

one addition please

This is a great game. Very realistic looking with great physics. However, could you please implement an angle of deflection element when the path line is active? Id really like to have a preview of the target balls path. Thanks.

Killer Pool

sweet game, fun to play if your a pool nut..

A Job Well Done!

Ive tried almost every lite version of pool in the app store and this is by far the best. After one game i bought the full version & I love it! Highly reccommended. The only room I see for improvement is to loosen the friction of the balls as they slow down much too soon; almost like rolling thru a thin film of water. A trajectory guideline would be nice too. Fix that & youll have reached the apex of perfection!

Vonny

Good game! Best pool game yet. Well worth the money.

Lame

I thought this was supposed to have "updated graphics for Retina display". The icon got updated, but the game itself looks like crap. The overhead view is weirdly compressed (wrong aspect ratio), and the screen is still cluttered with overly fancy UI graphics (does every single button really need swirly decorations?). The physics feel awful and the view is cramped. This game is ugly and not fun. Pity…I was looking for a replacement for Virtual Pool, which was apparently never updated for Retina displays, but this definitely isnt it. Still searching for a good 3D pool game that isnt terribly outdated or just plain bad.

Nice graphics

Graphics are nice. The feel and play is good. Just locks up a lot on my IPad. Crashed once it twice.. I get about 4 games or so then it locks up on the break and just sits there. You have to shut it down and start over. A couple of times it took a couple of restarts to get going again. Even with that, its pretty good and a lot of fun.

Killer pool pop up ads

Whats with the new crowd funding pop ups? Annoying as hell.

Very gooood!

Please add the function to record the result and turn off the landscape!

Fine

Graphics need improvement.

Good but with a few......

issues. First off its a great pool game, no doubt. I like the fine tuner and different degrees of hardness that are applied to pc/people you play. Nice graphics and yea....its a well made game. Now thats get to the actual PLAY of the game. The cue balls can freeze up after hitting on a break. The ball slows a little too fast (abnormal) once it hits the first rail. If you tilt the device a few degrees it will take you out of landscape mode and sometimes will flutter between the two modes. So have to keep Touch/iPhone same tilt all the time. Always shows a shot of the railing when its a turn, never has a shot facing the balls in play. Doesnt have a overhead view of the whole table you can look at, only a random view which is very small and shows it inbetween plays. View is only between the cue ball and close-up balls, can only view cue and ball to shoot and pocket if a long shot, or have camara close down then then hard to judge angle of hitting ball. When resetting/moving the cue ball your finger covers it entirely up so not sure where it is until you release it. Hate to be critical of a great game but with these issues fix it will be an even better game. Still like it and recommend it to all.

Totally awesome! Needs work though...

This game is really nice, the physics are pretty impressive. I have some suggestions though: 1) Let us adjust the friction of the table. It seems a little off to me, the balls come to a halt a little too quickly it seems. 2) Make the game memorize the player name instead of me having to type it every time! 3) Rotating the phone to the left actually makes the screen rotate the opposite direction.. make the screen rotate properly depending on how were holding the phone (I like the speaker on the right, not the left where my hand is) 4) Cant quit the game while the computer is playing, so if the computer is on a streak, you just have to wait (or hit the home button). 5) Have an option to get rid of that "So-and-so is at the table" which you have to hit "OK" for every single time (gets annoying). 6) Have a practice mode where we can just practice, complete with undo option, and maybe a mode that shows trajectories of where the balls will go when the cue ball hits them. 7) Allow for undo option when playing against the computer. Thats all I can think of. The addition of the above features would bring this game to a perfect 5 stars for me! Great work, guys!

Good but not prefect

All this game needs is a trajectory line and a few tweaks and it would be perfect!

Good

But, like the other reviewers stated. Lose the annoying mandatory "OK" click in between players, the logo and fix the ball momentum.

My fave

By far the best pool app out there I only have two criticisms. First and foremost lose the logo in the middle of the table and second some backgrounds would be nice but definately not a necessity. Bottom line is I erased the other pool apps I had for this. Just please kill the table logo devs.

Blah

Its okay, but wait till they fix the bugs to buy

More refinements, please!

The table looks too smooth, balls stop too quickly, all the controls have odd graphics, limited viewing options, no ghost ball, cumbersome controls. Even with all that, it still plays OK. KILLER POOL contains a nice variety of good games. If your into the various pool apps, you should have this in your collection. Besides, even if you dont play it often, you can still look forward to getting an update. And dont we all love seeing what updates have been released today....
